Threat Assessments Helpful Resources

Threat assessments are conducted for any youth referred by their school when a youth is determined by school faculty to have presented a risk of violence to him or herself or to someone else while on campus. The purpose of these assessments is to determine the level of risk for further violence as a result of a verbal threat or deliberate action made by the youth at the time of the observed or reported offense.

Cost:  $25.00

Recommendations are provided to the school regarding possible interventions for the youth, and many youth enter counseling at CFS as a result of these assessments.

Threat assessment are completed within 24 hours and reports are returned to the school within 48 hours of initial contact.

To schedule a Threat Assessment for your school, please complete the Threat Assessment Incident Report or call Todd Sluder at 972-578-2802 ext. 224.
